Chelsea
defender Felipe Luis says he has no intention of quitting the Blues this summer
despite reports linking him with a return to former club Atletico Madrid.
Luis only moved to Stamford Bridge from the Spanish champions last
summer, but has struggled to break into Jose Mourinho’s side ahead of Cesar
Azpilicueta.
Recent speculation has seen the Brazilian international tipped to
rejoin Atletico, who are believed to be keen to have the left-back return to
the Vicente Calderon, but Luis says no such thoughts have entered his mind.
‘I’m happy at Chelsea. I want to stay at the club until the end of
my contract,’ he said.
The 29-year-old has made 23 appearances for the Blues in all
competitions this term, compared to the 33 made by Azpilicueta, who has missed
games due to suspension for a red card against Crystal Palace, as well as a
muscle injury in January.
