Porsche
has claimed that the death of Fast And Furious star Paul Walker was the fault
of his friend Roger Rodas, who was driving at the time of the car
crash that killed both men.
Walker and Rodas died in a
devastating collision in
December 2013 while on their way to a charity event in Los Angeles.
Since then, Rodas’ grieving widow has taken the car
manufacturing giant to court in a claim which suggests there was a fault
with the vehicle.
Kristine Rodas is following the line of argument that the
Porsche Carerra GT did not have a properly installed roll cage which
could have prevented her late husband losing control of the car.
Porsche are understood to be fiercely arguing the claim and trying
to get it thrown out of court.
Porsche said of the tragedy: ‘Roger Rodas death, and all other
injuries or damages claimed, were the result of Roger Rodas’ own comparative
fault. He chose to conduct himself in a manner so as to expose himself to
the dangers while operating the vehicle.’
The case continues.
