Even though Kate is
much more than a pretty face, she is one of the prettiest girls on the planet.
She has a natural beauty and grace in front of the camera that make
photoshopping unnecessary.
Kate began modeling at
the young age of 16 when she signed a contract with Elite Model Management in
Miami. She moved to New York and became the face of Guess in 2010. In 201l she
was rookie of the year of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. She has since
spent 3 straight years on the cover, which no one has ever done.
2. SHE CAN THROW A FOOTBALL
Kate
is a huge sports fan. She loves her Yankees in baseball even though her
boyfriend Justin Verlander pitches for the Tigers. She also can throw a
football.
In
2013 Upton partnered with Jason Pierre-Paul to raise $20,000 with AXE for
childhood obesity.
When
the duo went on Fox & Friends to discuss the charity Kate showed off her
skills by throwing a football on camera. She showed young girls everywhere that
being pretty doesn’t mean you can’t like sports. She also showed the world she
has a beautiful soul to go along with her beautiful face
3. SHE CAN ACT
Kate’s
talents don’t stop at photo spreads. She took her talents to the big screen
with her first role in the 2011 movie “Tower Heist”, in which she played Mr.
Hightower’s mistress. She also played sister Bernice in the 2012 Three Stooges
remake.
Her
biggest and most recent role is the 2014 movie “The Other Woman”, where she
stars alongside Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann. Upton shows the same grace in
front of a video camera as she does in print. She aspires to take her acting
career further once she is finished with bikini modeling
4. SHE CAN BE ONE OF THE GUYS
Supermodels
have the stereotype of being prissy. Kate breaks that stereotype on a routine
basis. She is known for being a shoe-fanatic, but not the stunning stilettos
you’d expect from a supermodel.
When
she’s not on the runway she’s wearing Jordans. She’s also into sports and video
games. She starred in an episode of Skullcandy’s “Take your supermodel to work
day” with rapper Big Boi and former NFL player Stevie Johnson. The trio spent a
day in the Studio where Upton got on the mic and rapped while also challenging
the guys to a video game competition.
5. SHE CARES ABOUT THE KIDS
Most
of Kate’s charity work has been with children. As mentioned earlier she raised
$20,000 for childhood obesity in a campaign with AXE. In 2012 Upton partnered
with Zoo York and pro skateboarder Chaz Ortiz to help clean up Brooklyn.
The
pair worked with 30 underprivileged children to clean up the Fort Greene park.
Kate shows time and time again that kids hold a special place in her heart. She
is a role model to young girls everywhere by showing how to be humble even if
you’re one of the world’s most beautiful women.
6. SHE’S A WORLD CHAMPION
Did
you know that Kate Upton was a world-class athlete before she even stepped on
the runway? She started riding horses shortly after she started to walk, and by
13 she was competing nationally. She won 3 APHA Reserve championships in her
career.
The
categories were 13 and under horsemanship and western riding, and 14-18 western
riding in 2009. Even though she loved horseback riding she always aspired to be
a model. She hung up her boots for bikinis when she was 16 but has still kept
her love for horses. Her beauty and athletic ability prove Kate is the perfect
package.
7. SHE LOVES HER FANS
It’s
easy for Kate’s level of fame to go to a celebrity’s head. This is why Kate’s
humility is so impressive. She always makes sure to make time for her fans,
whether it be an autograph or a response on social media.
She
recently took time after enjoying a Knicks vs. Heat game to sign autographs for
dozens of fans waiting outside. Even when she is on her leisure time Kate
always puts her fans first. Her personable nature is a big reason why Kate is
one of the most popular supermodels on social media.
8. SHE’S LOW MAINTENANCE
Most
supermodels wouldn’t be caught dead in an outfit that cost less than four
figures. Kate Upton grew up on horses in Florida. Most of her time was either
in jeans or a bathing suit. She might be the most non-materialistic model in
the industry.
She
can have just as much fun taking in a basketball or baseball game with friends
as she can at a fancy luxury club. If she’s not working she’s more likely to be
lounging in a retro pair of Jordans than the latest Louboutins. No matter how
famous Kate gets she always will come across as the down-to-earth girl next

Kate
first made waves on the Internet in 2011 when a video of her doing the Dougie
at a Los Angeles Clippers game went viral. The following year another video of
her dancing, this time doing the Cat Daddy, went viral.
It
amassed over 8 million views and even received an age restriction on Youtube
for being too sexy. Kate also likes to let loose when she’s at the club. One
night at Hakkasan in Las Vegas she was seen dancing on tables and spraying
champagne on the crowd. One of the big reasons we love her so much is she isn’t
afraid to have fun.
10. SHE HAS HIGH MORALS
Kate
is not just a pretty face with no character. She has a high moral integrity
guided by her strong Christian faith. She has stated publicly that she always
wears a cross around her neck.
She
points to one shoot where she was mocked for her cross and forced to remove it
as one of the most traumatizing moments of her career. Kate’s faith is a big
reason why she has such compassion for both her fans and underprivileged
children.
