Arsenal
have been given the green light to finally complete the transfer of Palermo
striker Paulo Dybala after it was confirmed that he will be joining a new
side this summer.
The 21-year-old has become one of the most sought-after properties
on the transfer market, with the Gunners understood to be seriously considering
making a bid.
Palermo officials have slapped a £30 million price tag on the
21-year-old in an attempt to ward off his suitors, but director of sport Dario
Baccin has accepted that their efforts to keep him have been in vain.
‘He has rejected all our proposals for a contract renewal, so at
this stage it’s safe to say he will certainly leave’, he said.
Baccin’s revelation is a significant boost to Arsenal’s hopes of
signing the Argentine, but they will likely have to fend off the likes of
Juventus and Chelsea to secure his signature.
