Manchester United are
prepared to break the world transfer record in order to sign Real Madrid’s
Gareth Bale this summer.
The Welshman has spent two
years in the Spanish capital since his £85m move from Tottenham in 2013 but he
wants to leave the Bernabeu this summer after a disappointing season, according
to the Sunday Times.
David Moyes wanted to sign
the 25-year-old when he took over at Old Trafford from Sir Alex Ferguson but
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy was unwilling to sell to a rival Premier League
club.
However, Bale has come
under-fire for his recent form having scored just three goals in 19 games and
the Welshman has been the subjected to boos from the Real Madrid crowd during
recent matches.
The abuse has left Bale
craving a move back to the Premier League and Louis van Gaal’s side is ready to
break the world transfer record in order to make it happen.
