Manchester United have
joined the list of clubs reportedly interested in Leeds United protégé Lewis
Cook.
A midfielder who likes to shoot from range and happy to pick up a
caution for a heavy challenge or two, the 18-year-old has been dubbed ‘the next
Paul Scholes’ – so no doubt expectations would be high should Cook go on an
complete a transfer to Old Trafford.
The England Under-18 international has produced a number of
outstanding performances for the Championship outfit this season, which has led
to Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea all keeping tabs on the starlet.
And
according to the Daily Star, the Red Devils are the latest name to join
the queue.
Cook is understood to be reluctant to leave Elland Road, but
believes his Premier League and international aspirations are likely to be met
elsewhere.
And the club should make a solid profit on any future sale, with a
potential fee of £12million already suggested.
