The
season of new kit offerings is now in full swing, and it would appear
Manchester United’s fan base are keen to lead the way by leaking all three
before many of their rivals.
United signed
a ten-year deal with Adidas last summer worth £75 million a year, which is due
to kick in next season, and their reported new home stripdid
the rounds on social media last month.
While
the club’s sparkling new home stash will have shades of the Bryan Robson late
1980s era with the giant German kit supplier, Footy Headlines has released a
picture that appears to show the new black third shirt, along with a
pristine white away v-neck number.
It will be the first time since 1992 that the Old Trafford outfit
will boast the famous Three Stripes on their sleeves, and expect many Mancunians
on the red side of the divide to take a liking to the third shirt’s striking
red crest and round collar.
The Red Devils deal with current manufacturer Nike comes to an end
after a 13-year partnership that had reportedly generated over £23 million
a year, and United will hope these simplistic but stylish
designs fly from the shelves.
