Uses Of Aluminium Foil





Everyone is aware that aluminium foil is the most common household item. Aluminium foil was used in kitchens for the first time in 1913. Aluminium foil has been used for capping casseroles or wrapping rotis or sandwiches. 

Apart from cooking, there are various other uses of aluminium foil.Our grandmothers or mothers have used the aluminium foil only for cooking for several years. It is predominantly used in the kitchen to wrap up food in order to keep it fresh.Aluminium foil is always required in the kitchen for packing, baking and wrapping. Here are some uses of aluminium soil:
 
1.Sharpen your scissors: If you want to file your blunted scissors, all you have to do is cut the aluminium foil paper umpteen number of times with your blunted scissors. Before cutting the aluminium foil, try to fold the strips into several layers. This can easily sharpen your scissors.

2.Couch cushions: Usually, the clean pieces of leftover aluminium foil could be used in many creative ways. Try to use the aluminium foil paper on couch cushions to keep your animals from dirtying it. Your pets will not be able to sit on the cushions when the foil is on it. Pets usually hate the crinkling sound of the aluminium foil. There is also another way to protect your furniture from scratching and biting by pets by covering them with aluminium foil.

3.Get away with rust: One of the uses of aluminium foil is that it helps to get rid of rust. Start off by crumpling the foil and then rub the rust spots off your car bumper with it to remove the tarnish.

4.Removes Tarnish: One of the uses of aluminium foil is that it helps to deter tarnishing. If you are looking for ways to polish your silver, then take a baking pan and fill it with cold water. Next, add two teaspoons of salt and dip the tarnished silver in the solution. Try to soak the silver in the solution for a couple of minutes before rinsing it off. Then, store the silver on top of the aluminium foil to ensure that they do not tarnish easily again.

5.Remove wrinkles: When ironing or pressing your clothes, try to use aluminium foil to remove wrinkles. It is important to place the aluminium foil under your ironing board cover as this will allow the foil to reflect the heat and also ensure you do lesser presses to remove the wrinkles.

6.Outdoor lighting: One of the interesting uses of aluminium foil is that it can brighten up the outdoor yard. And for that, all you have to do is place the shiny reflecting side of aluminium foil behind the lamp. Interestingly, this will brighten the outdoor lightning.

7.Fruit trees: If you want to keep the birds away from your fruit trees, try to hang strips of aluminium foil from the branches. To keep the birds or insects from feeding on your bark, make sure to wrap up the trunk with aluminium foils. However, don’t forget to remove it during spring.

8.Gift wrapper: Aluminium foil paper makes for great gift wraps. You can use them to wrap up gifts.
