Sampdoria Beat Inter 1-0 To Go Fourth

Inter Milan’s hopes of European football next season suffered a heavy blow tonight as they were beaten by Sampdoria thanks to an Eder Strike at the Estadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris.

Inter attacked with impetus all through the first half but were unable to break Sampdoria down as Sampdoria were resilient in defense. Inter looked to break the deadlock in the second half but it was Sampdoria who ended up doing the scoring as they gained control for a brief period before Eto’s set up Eder whose shot went past Handanovic to give Sampdoria the lead. Inter Milan searched desperately for an equalizer but Sampdoria held firm to earn a precious win

Sampdoria have now leap-frogged Napoli into fourth place and are hot on the heels of Lazio with ten matches to go in the Serie A
