A knee problem will keep Manuel Neuer out of Germany’s international
friendly with Australia on Wednesday. He is expected to be fit however for the Euro
2016 qualifier in Georgia on Sunday.
“Manuel Neuer will not play
tomorrow,” Germany coach Joachim
Loew said. “He
has knee inflammation and it can take a day or two to heal.”
Captain Bastian Schweinsteiger is also a doubt for the Australia
friendly.
“I will talk today with Bastian. Whether he will play
from the start or a half or even sit it out, I have not yet decided,” Loew
said.
